The conference organisers comprise an alliance between The Transport Research Institute (TRI), Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland and SEStran, Regional Transport Partnership for the Southeast of Scotland.

The Transport Research Institute at Edinburgh Napier University was established in 1996. Since its inauguration, it has developed an enviable track record in delivering high quality transport research, consultancy and other knowledge transfer projects within an applied setting.

SEStran - South East Scotland Transport Partnership

SEStran is one of seven Regional Transport Partnerships (RTPs) in Scotland, were set up by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005, with an initial remit to develop a Regional Transport Strategy (RTS). The main purpose of the RTS is to provide a framework which will guide the future management of, and investment in, transport for the SEStran area over the next 10-15 years. SEStran contains eight constituent council areas – City of Edinburgh, Clackmannanshire, East Lothian, Falkirk, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian.
